Terrifying incidents occurred for passengers on a CTA bus in Chicago's South Side on Saturday around 11:22 p.m. in the 5700 block of S. Ashland Avenue.
A trio of men attempted to rob a 54-year-old man on the bus, but he fought back by brandishing a sharp object.
The assailants assaulted the victim, threatening to 'blow his brains out.'
However, the victim sustained a laceration on his hand and was transported to the St. Bernard Hospital, where he is expected to recover well.
The three suspects were apprehended shortly after the incident, and charges are still pending.
