A 10-year-old boy from Punjab's Ferozepur district has been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for his outstanding service to Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor. Shravan Singh, a Class 4 student, demonstrated remarkable courage and compassion by regularly delivering essential supplies to troops stationed near his village, despite the risks associated with the situation. Shravan's initiative began when the Indian military launched Operation Sindoor, a counter-terrorism operation targeting terror outfits in Pakistan. Undeterred by the dangers, the young boy took it upon himself to deliver milk, water, and other refreshments to the soldiers every day. His selfless service was recognized by the Indian Army earlier this year, and now, he has been honored with the prestigious Bal Puraskar by President Droupadi Murmu. In a heartwarming interview, Shravan expressed his desire to join the armed forces in the future, saying, 'I want to become a 'fauji' when I grow up. I want to serve the country.' His family is proud of his actions, and the soldiers he helped have also expressed their admiration for the young hero. Operation Sindoor was launched in response to a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. The Indian Air Force conducted night raids targeting terror headquarters in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, leading to a ceasefire understanding between the two countries. Shravan's story is a testament to the bravery and kindness of ordinary citizens who make a difference in times of crisis.
