Air India has introduced a 'Basic' fare category for select domestic routes, catering to price-conscious travellers.

The new fare includes 15 kg checked baggage allowance and 7 kg cabin baggage allowance but excludes complimentary meals.

Passengers can still pre-purchase meals up to 24 hours before departure, and in case of schedule changes, meals will be transferred or fully refunded.

The 'Basic' fare is currently available on select domestic routes and will be assessed based on customer response and feedback.
