Allu Arjun, Security Team Named in 23-Accused Charge Sheet Over Pushpa 2 Stampede

Actor Allu Arjun and his security team have been included in a list of 23 accused in a charge sheet relating to the deadly stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad last December. The theatre management has been identified as the primary accused, with Arjun listed as accused number 11. The incident, which took place on December 4, 2024, resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injuries to her eight-year-old son. The stampede occurred as fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Arjun during the film's screening. Following the incident, the city police registered a case against Arjun, and his security team and the theatre management were charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Arjun was initially arrested on December 13, 2024, but was released the next day after being granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court. He later received regular bail. In a gesture of goodwill, Arjun and the makers of Pushpa extended financial assistance to the victim's family, and the Telangana government announced compensation for their loss.
