Ayodhya-bound Pilgrims Tragedy: 3 Killed, 8 Injured in Highway Collision

A devastating car accident occurred on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway near Kalyan Bhadarsa village, claiming the lives of three pilgrims and leaving eight others seriously injured. The incident took place around 5 am on Thursday morning when a vehicle carrying 11 people from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district collided with a tractor-trolley. According to the police, the SUV veered into the opposite lane after the driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle crashed head-on into the tractor-trolley, resulting in the deaths of three passengers who were trapped inside. Eight people, who were flung out of the vehicle during the collision, were rushed to a nearby community health centre and later referred to the district hospital. Doctors reported that some of the injured passengers remain in critical condition. Police personnel and locals quickly responded to the scene, securing both vehicles and launching an investigation. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the tractor-trolley was moving or stationary at the time of the collision, are still being investigated. In response to the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the bereaved families and directed officials to provide swift relief measures and proper treatment for the injured.
