In a disturbing incident, three men have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody for allegedly harassing a woman in Bengaluru. The incident, which took place on Thursday night, was captured on video by a witness who intervened and posted it on social media. According to the police, the three men - Roshan (19), Ayan (19), and Rihan Khan (18) - were identified after a complaint was filed by a witness, who had posted the video on social media. The video showed the men harassing the woman for several kilometers on a main road. This is not the first incident of harassment in Bengaluru. In recent months, there have been several cases of men harassing women in the city. In one such case, a man was arrested for forcing a woman to create a romantic connection and harassing her. In another incident, a man had begun pestering a woman by repetitively forcing her into a relationship after introducing himself through Instagram. The Bengaluru City Police has taken swift action in both cases, registering FIRs and arresting the accused. The police have also involved several staff members in the investigation, including the DCP of the South-West Division, Anita B Haddannavar IPS, and the ACP of Kengeri Sub-Division, Basavaraj Teli. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including sections that address criminal offences against women. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to ensure that the accused are brought to justice.
