In a disturbing incident in Bengaluru, a 45-year-old police inspector has lodged a complaint against a woman who repeatedly harassed him with unwanted calls, messages, and visits, after he refused her love proposal. According to the FIR, the woman, who is yet to be identified, began sending the inspector multiple calls from different numbers on October 30, claiming to have close ties with top government officials, including the Chief Minister and Home Minister. She even sent photographs on WhatsApp, purportedly showing herself with these dignitaries, and threatened to use her influence to force him to accept her proposal. The inspector advised her to file a written complaint if she had any grievances, but she continued to disturb his official duties with repeated calls and messages. On November 7, she allegedly visited his office and handed over an envelope containing 'Nexito Plus' tablets and emotionally charged letters, which she claimed were written in her own blood. The inspector had made it clear that the number she was calling was an official departmental number meant for public service, but she continued to make unnecessary calls and messages, causing mental harassment and obstruction to his duties. Police have now registered a case against the woman under Sections 132, 351, and 221 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station, and the matter is under investigation. The inspector has alleged that the woman has exhibited similar behavior with other police and government officials in the past, prompting concerns about her mental health and potential threat to public safety.
