Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has launched a groundbreaking online portal to enhance police services and improve coordination between law enforcement and citizens. The Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems portal aims to make policing more accessible, transparent, and efficient through e-governance. At a recent review meeting, Choudhary emphasized the need for better coordination and reduced visits to police stations. He also issued directives to strengthen the law-and-order situation, including expedited seizure of vehicles used in illegal mining, swift arrests in cybercrime cases, and enhanced safety measures for students and women. The DyCM directed officials to improve prison administration, install CCTV cameras, and ensure better food quality in jails. He also called for strong measures against organized crime and the formation of a special unit, the Abhay Brigade, to prevent harassment and ensure women's safety in schools, colleges, and other sensitive locations. The launch of the crime tracking portal marks a significant step towards improving online police services, and Choudhary's directives aim to enhance trust in the police and make Bihar a safer state for its citizens.
