Senior BJP leader Tai Tagak won the Rajya Sabha seat from Arunachal Pradesh unopposed, receiving the election certificate from returning officer Tadar Meena.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated Tagak, saying he would carry the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh to Parliament and serve as a strong voice for the state.

Tagak, a veteran BJP leader with roots in the RSS, has held various responsibilities within the party and is regarded as one of the senior-most BJP leaders in Arunachal Pradesh.

With his unopposed election, the BJP retains its representation from Arunachal Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha.
