A 61-year-old BJP MP from Andhra Pradesh, CM Ramesh, has been linked to the ongoing rebellion in the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Ramesh, a Telugu-speaking MP who previously belonged to the TDP, has claimed to have played a key role in enticing TMC MPs to join the saffron party.

Ramesh, who has a reputation for being able to convince people to join the BJP, has stated that he has known many TMC MPs for a long time and has developed a bond with them over the past few years. He has also denied any involvement of money in the defection process.

However, some TMC MPs have disputed Ramesh's claim, saying that he is not the moving force behind the rebellion. They have instead pointed out that Ramesh's involvement in the BJP's operations is a way for him to prove his political relevance.

Ramesh has a history of orchestrating exits from other parties, having done so with the TDP in 2019. He has also been involved in the Constitution Club election, where he teamed up with BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who is also said to be involved in the TMC operation.

While chief minister Suvendu Adhikari and Union minister Bhupendra Yadav are officially in charge of the operation, Ramesh's involvement has raised eyebrows, particularly given his history of involvement in similar operations in the past.
