BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has slammed Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan for criticising three Vice Chancellors who attended an event addressed by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Chandrasekhar accused the CM of practising 'appeasement politics' and hit out at the Congress-led UDF government.

Chandrasekhar said the CM had no moral authority to lecture others on secularism or constitutional values, citing the CM's alleged ties to radical Islam and organisations like Jamaat-e-Islami.

The BJP leader also questioned the appointment of Advocate K B Pradeep as Special Pleader for the Devaswom Department, citing controversy over his earlier appearance as counsel for an accused in the Sabarimala gold loss case.

Chandrasekhar alleged that the Congress and CPI(M) were united in protecting those responsible for the irregularities connected with Sabarimala.
