The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka unit will convene its legislature party meeting at the Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmasthala to address allegations of cross-voting during last week's legislative council elections.
State chief BY Vijayendra said the meeting, likely to be held within a week, will ask MLAs to take an oath before Lord Manjunatha and declare if they voted against the party's official candidates.
Vijayendra expressed displeasure over media reports and social media discussions suggesting that at least four BJP MLAs cross-voted, casting suspicion over the party's entire legislature wing.
A fact-finding panel has been constituted to examine the charges, and those found guilty will face action regardless of seniority.
