Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has ordered a team of IIT experts to assist the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in resolving technical issues in its post-result services portal.

The move comes amid widespread complaints from students and parents over glitches in the re-evaluation process and lower-than-expected scores in Class 12 exams under the new digital evaluation system.

The expert team from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur will implement technological improvements and examine portal stability, server performance, and IT infrastructure robustness.

The CBSE has received over 294,000 applications for re-evaluation, with many students reporting errors, delays, and portal issues.

Students like Sarvagya Singh and Devesh Agarwal have expressed concerns over the accuracy of their answer sheets, with some even questioning whether their marks were evaluated correctly.

The CBSE has extended the deadline for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books, but students are still facing technical issues and payment failures.

Pradhan has also spoken to Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to seek support for overhauling the CBSE payment gateway system.
