With plates and spoons in hand, supporters of the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will gather at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Saturday, intensifying their campaign against alleged examination irregularities.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke urged supporters to bring a 'thali' (plate) and a 'chamach' (spoon) ahead of the protest, invoking memories of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to bang utensils during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The June 20 demonstration will be the group's second protest in Delhi, following a string of protests in several cities, and will demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak controversy and other examination-related issues.
Dipke also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide ₹1 crore compensation to families of students who allegedly died by suicide amid examination-related controversies.
