Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the police to file an FIR against those making derogatory remarks against Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav's daughter. CM Yogi condemned the alleged remarks, calling them a 'disgrace' and urging for immediate action.

Speaking at an event in Azamgarh, Yogi Adityanath stated that he had directed the police to register an FIR in the matter and advised Akhilesh to 'reign in' his party workers before any further illicit comments were made.

The controversy began with a June 9 post on social media, which made 'false, forged and misleading' claims and objectionable remarks against Yadav's daughter Aditi. The post linked the victim to theft and criminal activities, along with sharing a morphed photo intended to damage her public image.

Three individuals, including the accused social media handle operator Bharat Kumar Patel, have been booked under Sections 79 and 336 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and sections of the Information Technology Act. Police action has been initiated in some districts, including Kanpur, and registered cases in this matter.
