Fog has once again blanketed the skies over northern India, causing widespread disruptions to air and rail travel. At the Delhi airport, over 200 flights have been delayed on Sunday alone, with Northern Railways also reporting delays for more than 50 trains due to the adverse weather conditions. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) issued a warning, advising passengers to check for updates with their airlines and allowing extra time for travel and airport formalities. In a separate advisory, Delhi airport assured that operations were 'normal,' but urged passengers to consult their airlines for the latest flight schedules. Meanwhile, Delhi residents woke up to a thick layer of toxic smog on Sunday morning, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) plummeting to 390, categorizing the air quality as 'very poor.' Several areas in the city experienced a further deterioration in air quality, reaching 'severe' levels. The dense haze has left residents struggling with poor visibility and high pollution levels.
