A Delhi court has allowed Yash Yadav, a key accused in the NEET-UG paper leak, to appear for the re-examination while in judicial custody. The court observed that the right to education is a fundamental right and that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not raised any objection.

The court noted that Yadav had filed for 15 days interim bail to appear in the upcoming NEET UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, as well as to attend his sister's wedding. The re-examination will be conducted on June 21.

Yadav is among the thirteen people arrested for the paper leak. He was arrested from Gurugram, Haryana, after receiving the leaked paper from twenty-seven-year-old BAMS student Shubham Khairnar.

The court also allowed the CBI to question three accused in the paper leak case while they remain in jail. The three accused are Manisha Sanjay Waghmare, Dhanunjay Nivrutti Lokhande, and Shubham Madhukar Khairnar.
