The Delhi High Court has refused to grant an urgent hearing to a petition filed by the Save India Foundation, citing concerns over public safety ahead of a planned protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar on June 6.
The NGO had sought directions to the police to implement crowd-control measures at major entry points, including airports and metro stations, but the court declined the request.
The CJP protest aims to seek the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.
The Save India Foundation had claimed that the protest posed a serious threat to public safety, critical transit infrastructure, and national security, citing online videos that allegedly contained operational instructions to disrupt airport operations.
The NGO had submitted representations to the Delhi Police Commissioner and other authorities seeking preventive action, but the court refused to intervene.
