Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has directed all concerned departments to implement a 20% job quota for Agniveers by June 30. The quota will apply to key government services, including police constables, firemen, and forest guards.
The LG chaired a meeting to review preparedness and assess the roadmap for extending the reservation benefit to Agniveers in various departments and agencies.
The initiative is being undertaken in line with the Central Government's vision, and the LG had earlier proposed the recruitment of Agniveers into the Delhi Fire Service.
