A 17-year-old boy from Delhi made headlines after renting a Mahindra Thar SUV and losing control while allegedly trying to evade his parents in Noida's Sector 24. The incident occurred on Thursday around 5 pm when the minor, accompanied by a friend, spotted his parents approaching. According to police, the boy attempted to reverse the vehicle at high speed and change direction to avoid being seen. Unfortunately, he collided with two to three two-wheelers before crashing into a divider and coming to a halt. Two people, Pankaj (40s) and Sumit (30s), were injured in the incident and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. They were later discharged after receiving medical attention. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities looking into how the minor was able to rent the vehicle despite being underage and how he was eventually tracked down by his parents in Noida. The police have seized the vehicle and detained the boy, registering a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash driving and causing injuries. The reasons behind the minor's decision to leave home remain unclear, and authorities are still trying to determine how his family obtained his location. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the consequences of reckless behavior on the road.
