Karnataka home minister Priyank Kharge said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will respond to the Karnataka High Court on new claims linked to the Dharmasthala case.
The allegations, made by key accused CN Chinnaiah, involve a conspiracy to discredit the temple town using funds.
Kharge declined to comment on the substance of the allegations, saying the matter is now before the court and the SIT's response will be submitted through judicial proceedings.
Chinnaiah has claimed he was drawn into a larger effort to malign Dharmasthala and has sought directions for investigators to complete their probe and proceed against those allegedly involved.
Media reports have cited claims in the petition that large amounts of money were used to support the purported conspiracy, with ₹200 crore being alleged.
The petition also names activist Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Girish Mattannavar, Vitthal Gowda, and Jayant, among others, accusing them of coordinating a campaign against Dharmasthala.
Justice Suraj Govindaraj has issued notices to the state government and the SIT and directed investigators to submit a status report by June 29.
