Family Tragedy: 3 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Gonda Highway Crash

A devastating car accident occurred on the Gonda-Ayodhya highway on Sunday, claiming the lives of three family members and leaving two others seriously injured. The tragedy unfolded when a car tyre burst, causing the vehicle to crash into an oncoming bus. The victims, who were returning from a wedding in Gonda, were headed to Ayodhya airport for their return flight to Bengaluru. The deceased include Akshat Agarwal, 35, his mother Neeta Agarwal, 55, and a relative, Ashu Agarwal, 34. Akshat's family, who are originally from Kanpur's Ganga Barrage area, had moved to Bengaluru, where Akshat worked as a clerk with Canara Bank. The injured, Nitin and Neha, were rushed to Lucknow Medical College, while their three-year-old granddaughter, Anaya, suffered minor injuries. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the bereaved family and directed officials to expedite relief measures and ensure proper medical care for the injured. An investigation into the accident is underway, with the bodies being kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. The Additional SP, Radheshyam Rai, assured that the families will be handed over the bodies after the post-mortem is conducted. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for prompt action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
