A devastating fire at the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in Goa claimed 25 lives, including 20 staff members and five tourists. The tragedy occurred while Kazakh dancer Kristina, who has over 272,000 Instagram followers, was performing. According to police, Kristina had applied for a business visa to perform in India, but it was not sanctioned at the time of the incident. The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) is inquiring into whether she had the necessary permission to perform professionally in the country. Eyewitnesses point to narrow exits at the nightclub as a contributing factor to the high number of fatalities. Investigations are ongoing, with initial reports suggesting that electric firecrackers may have caused the blaze. Goa's Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has confirmed that the use of electric firecrackers is the prima facie cause of the tragedy.
