The Goa Police have booked a YouTuber, Gautam Khattar, for allegedly hurting religious sentiments with derogatory comments about Catholic saint Francis Xavier.

Khattar made the comments during a Sanatan Dharm Raksha Samiti event in Goa's Vasco da Gama, where he described the saint as a 'terrorist' and made other allegedly derogatory remarks about his remains.

The Sanatan Dharm Raksha Samiti has distanced itself from the remarks and apologized to the Christian community.

Multiple complaints have been filed against Khattar, including by opposition Congress leaders, and the Aam Aadmi Party and the Revolutionary Goans Party.
