India has dispatched an army field hospital and over 35 tonnes of relief supplies to Venezuela to support the country's post-earthquake relief efforts.
The assistance, named 'Operation Amistad', includes a field hospital unit of the Indian Army, medicines, medical equipment, and two BHISHM Cubes, which are modular medical emergency systems.
The Indian relief effort aims to save lives during the critical 'golden hour' following the disaster.
Venezuela's death toll has risen to 589, with over 2,980 injured, following the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that hit the country on Wednesday night.
