A family of eight, including three generations, perished in a devastating fire that engulfed Flourish Stays, a bed and breakfast in Hauz Rani, Delhi, on June 3. The family, led by chartered accountant Vivek Aggarwal, had shifted to the property to be closer to Max Hospital, where his father Radhe Shyam was undergoing treatment.
The family's six-year dream home, a sprawling three-storey duplex in Sector-46, Gurugram, was built with love and care by Radhe Shyam, who personally supervised the construction despite his health issues. The house was a symbol of their success and a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Vivek, his wife Tarjani, and their two daughters, Jivisha and Varya, were among those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Radhe Shyam passed away six days later, unaware of the devastating loss his family had suffered.
The fire highlights the deep-rooted corruption and negligence that plagues India, leaving families vulnerable to such tragedies. The family's story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of prioritizing safety and the value of human life.
