The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an advisory for Indian citizens undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, cautioning them to verify their tour operators and obtain all necessary travel documents before embarking on the journey.

The advisory comes after several Indian pilgrims were reportedly stranded in Nepal due to documentation-related issues, with around 52 citizens stuck in Kathmandu and in need of urgent assistance.

The MEA has urged pilgrims to exercise caution while booking their travel and ensure that tour operators are properly registered and authorised.

The advisory aims to prevent pilgrims from being stranded, as seen in recent instances, and to ensure their safe onward journey.
