IndiGo flight disruptions entered their fifth day, but the airline is optimistic about resuming normal operations. On Saturday, the carrier re-established 95% of its network connectivity, operating over 1,500 flights out of 1,500 scheduled. The airline aims to continue improving its services, with cancellation numbers dropping below 850 on Saturday, compared to over 1,000 on Friday. The airline's spokesperson emphasized that teams are focused on stabilizing schedules, reducing delays, and supporting customers. Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has also stepped in, capping airfares to prevent unreasonable surges due to flight disruptions. The ministry has directed airlines to maintain strict adherence to prescribed fare caps, with maximum fares set at ₹7,500 for routes up to 500 km, ₹12,000 for 500–1,000 km, ₹15,000 for 1,000–1,500 km, and ₹18,000 for routes above 1,500 km. With IndiGo working to bring its operations back on track, the airline is hopeful that disruptions will decrease in the coming days. As the situation unfolds, passengers can track live updates of the IndiGo flights crisis. The airline's goal is to provide a smooth travel experience, and with its efforts, it's possible that normal flight operations will resume by Sunday.
