Jharkhand Job Scam: Fake IRCTC Office Dupes 150 Aspiring Employees of ₹1 Crore

A massive job scam has been uncovered in Jharkhand's Godda district, where a fake IRCTC office lured at least 150 job seekers with promises of employment, resulting in a staggering ₹1 crore loss. The scam was uncovered after police received a tip-off and conducted a raid on Friday, leading to the arrest of the accused, a resident of Maheshpur. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and has been sent to judicial custody. An FIR has been registered at Godda Town Police Station, and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the other members of the gang. This recent case highlights the growing trend of job scams in the country, with another such incident reported in Panchkula, where an inter-state fake work visa racket was busted, and five accused were arrested.
