The US military strike on a Palau-flagged commercial vessel off the Oman coast has resulted in the deaths of three Indian seafarers, who were working to provide for their families.
The victims, Patnala Suresh, Shivanand Chaurasia, and Aditya Sharma, were from different parts of India but shared a common goal: to give their families a better life.
Originally bound to a six-month contract, Sharma had extended his stay to finish his training before returning home, but his dreams were cut short when the vessel was struck.
The families of the victims are demanding a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths and are seeking the return of their loved ones' mortal remains.
