After a month of anxiety and stress, NEET-UG aspirants are set to appear for the re-examination on June 21. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has enhanced security arrangements to ensure a fair, secure, and candidate-friendly examination.

The NTA has deployed 51,311 jammers, 1,38,560 CCTV cameras, and additional exam functionaries across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for over 22.79 lakh candidates.

Each examination room will have a CCTV camera, two invigilators, and more than ten additional examination functionaries. AI tools will analyse CCTV footage to detect suspicious activity, while 6,700 observers and 100+ virtual observers will monitor live CCTV feeds.

Candidates will undergo tough frisking, with 48,448 personnel appointed for biometric verification and 38,795 frisking staff. Bank officials and the Department of Posts will collect OMR sheets from 1,500 and 700 centres nationwide, respectively.

A nationwide mock drill tested CCTV, jammers, frisking procedures, biometrics, and material availability. Exam centres will provide drinking water, ORS, ambulances, and shaded waiting areas to support candidates.
