The Winter Session of Parliament came to a close on a positive note, with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla hosting a customary tea meeting. The event, attended by MPs from various parties, saw a heartwarming conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. Gandhi, who represents the Wayanad constituency in Kerala, revealed that she is learning Malayalam to better connect with her constituents. Modi, who recently visited Ethiopia as part of a three-nation trip, shared his observations about the country's rapid social and economic progress. His witty remark about the short duration of the Winter Session left the MPs in stitches. The tea meeting, which is a tradition at the end of each Parliament session, was a welcome change from the tension that marked much of the session. With 111% productivity and only 19 sittings, the Winter Session was a relatively brief affair. Notably, the Opposition had boycotted the tea meeting earlier this year, making this year's event all the more significant.
