His dedication to the nation and vision of a developed India by 2047 have led to historic decisions and initiatives that have reshaped the country.
In Bastar and Chhattisgarh, the situation has changed dramatically, with areas once affected by conflict now witnessing roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and new livelihood opportunities. The transformation is a result of the Prime Minister's approach combining strong action against Naxalism with a commitment to development and tribal welfare.
The election of India's first tribal President symbolised a new era of representation and respect, while the Union Government increased tribal welfare spending from ₹28,000 crore to nearly ₹1.5 lakh crore. Programmes providing housing, electricity, tap water, food security, and health insurance coverage have improved the lives of millions of tribal families.
In Chhattisgarh, efforts are being made to take this vision forward, with initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Swasth Bastar Abhiyan, education cities, and a medical college in Geedam. Economic development is also gathering momentum, with the Raipur–Visakhapatnam Expressway nearing completion and new barrages on the Indravati River providing irrigation to nearly 32,000 hectares of land.
Through better governance, stronger infrastructure, tribal empowerment, improved healthcare, quality education, and economic growth, a Viksit Chhattisgarh is being built that will contribute meaningfully to a developed India.
