With only two days left for the NEET-UG re-examination, the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure a smooth conduct of the exam. To ease the anxiety among students and their parents, the government is constantly busting fake news of paper leaks.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued detailed advisories on where to track updates on the examination and listed the arrangements in place. Students will receive updates on the re-exam through the testing agency's WhatsApp account, with the number +917827980287. The NTA has warned students to look for the blue verified tick and the official display name 'National Testing Agency' to avoid fake messages.
New admit cards have been made available for candidates, and the May 3 exam admit cards are now invalid. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards only from the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
The government has also taken stringent security measures, including deploying 6,669 observers for independent oversight at examination centres. CCTV surveillance will be installed at all examination centres, and Aadhaar-based biometric authentication will be used to prevent impersonation.
Reports of a fake paper leak emerged in Rajasthan's Bhilwara, but the police have arrested the 21-year-old boy responsible for creating the fake paper. The government has warned against fake paper leak claims and clarified that the re-exam paper has not been leaked.
