Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge hailed the opposition's united stand against the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) attempt to alter the democratic balance through delimitation.
Addressing an election rally in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, Kharge praised the Congress-DMK alliance and other opposition parties for defeating the BJP's 'mischievous and dangerous' plan.
He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not introducing the women's reservation bill in 2023, saying he kept quiet for 30 months.
Kharge emphasized that his party works for the welfare of women, democracy, and justice, and urged voters to choose between Modi and DMK Chief Minister MK Stalin, along with Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress President stressed that the April 23 election in Tamil Nadu is an 'ideological battle' and urged youth, women, farmers, and workers to support the Secular Progressive Alliance.
