Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the G7 Summit and hold bilateral consultations during his nearly week-long visit to France and Slovakia.

The visit will focus on defence and security cooperation, trade, technology, and addressing the fallout of the West Asia conflict on energy security.

Modi will hold talks with President Emmanuel Macron in France and President Peter Pellegrini and Prime Minister Robert Fico in Slovakia to enhance bilateral ties and build on the momentum of the free trade agreement finalised by India and the European Union.

India's participation in the G7 Summit reflects the trust its partners place in it and its growing global profile, with Modi set to give voice to the aspirations of the Global South.

The visit will also see Modi attend VivaTech 2026 in Paris, where India will have the largest pavilion, and meet the members of the vibrant Indian community in the city.
