Six women suffered complications after C-section deliveries at PBM Hospital in Rajasthan's Bikaner, prompting a probe into healthcare standards and post-operative care.
The women, aged 20-27, experienced excessive bleeding, infections, low platelet counts, and multiple organ dysfunction, with some requiring dialysis.
Relatives of the women said they were initially told everything was normal after delivery, but their conditions suddenly worsened.
Medical experts noted similarities with cases in Kota, where several women developed kidney-related complications within hours of C-section deliveries.
PBM Hospital superintendent rejected comparisons with Kota deaths, attributing the complications to pre-existing conditions and critical referrals.
However, additional district magistrate said the administration has sought a report to ascertain the exact cause behind the complications.
