Congress leader Shashi Tharoor rejected the label 'anti-women' after a heated debate in the Lok Sabha over the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill.

During a post-adjournment interaction, Tharoor shared a selfie with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, where he quipped that no one could ever call him 'anti-women.'

Tharoor praised women, calling them 'the better half of the species' and emphasized their need for representation in Parliament and every institution.

He also criticized the government's attempt to link the Women's Reservation Bill with the Delimitation exercise, calling it 'very wrong.'

The Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill failed to pass in the Lok Sabha, with 230 members voting against the proposed law.
