The Supreme Court has granted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) time to develop a policy regarding private students in West Asia whose results were delayed due to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Appearing before the court, solicitor general Tushar Mehta representing CBSE stated that the matter concerns a broader issue, with the Centre actively considering a policy for all affected students in West Asia.

The court was hearing a petition filed by a private candidate, Pransu Jigarkumar Patel, seeking the declaration of results in the Class 12 improvement examination, which was suspended due to the war.

The matter has been posted for further hearing on June 22.
