The Telangana high court has directed the Centre and state governments to locate an 18-year-old engineering student from Hyderabad who has been missing in Finland for 45 days.
Gujja Manideep Reddy, who was pursuing engineering at the University of Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, was last heard from on May 5 when he went to buy snacks at a bakery.
His parents, who moved the high court after their attempts to reach him failed, have asked the Finnish authorities to examine digital, financial, academic, transportation, and surveillance records to help trace him.
The matter has been posted to June 24, with the Centre and state governments ordered to file their responses on the steps taken so far to locate the missing student.
