US President Donald Trump congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest-serving elected premier, with Modi responding by expressing his eagerness to work with the American leader to advance their bilateral strategic partnership.
Trump posted his congratulatory message on his Truth Social platform, describing Modi as a 'strong, healthy, and wise man' who will have 'many years of Greatness and Success ahead of him.'
Modi replied, thanking Trump for his warm wishes and expressing his enthusiasm for further advancing the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership for the benefit of both nations and the world.
The two leaders have spoken and exchanged messages on social media on several occasions this year, including their joint announcement in February of a trade deal to address US tariffs and their phone call in April to discuss the West Asia crisis and bilateral cooperation.
