The special investigation team (SIT) probing into the alleged embezzlement of donation money at Ayodhya's Ram temple is likely to submit its preliminary report to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday.
According to officials, the SIT returned to Lucknow on Saturday and has been questioning suspects, with 150 names emerging during the six-day investigation.
The probe has also examined the Trust's phased purchases, procurement of building materials, and the utilisation of funds from the temple's donation boxes.
So far, recoveries worth ₹2 crore have been made, officials said, with major embezzlement taking place during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela in early 2025.
