A firing incident in West Bengal's Gosaba region has left one person injured, with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) accusing BJP leaders of being behind the attack.

The incident occurred on Sunday, with the injured person reportedly a TMC worker who has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

TMC leader Raja Gazi has filed a complaint with the police, demanding action against those responsible for the incident.

The firing incident comes as Bengal prepares to vote on April 23, with a war of words between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the TMC government escalating.

Modi's unscheduled 'jhalmuri' stop in Jhargram on Sunday led to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife being denied permission to land their helicopter, the TMC alleged.

Meanwhile, DMK President M K Stalin released the party's Chennai manifesto, outlining initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure and employment opportunities in Tamil Nadu.
