YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged irregularities in the recruitment of 16,000 teachers through district selection committees (DSC) last year.

Jagan alleged that the recruitment process was marred by irregularities, with the question paper being leaked to select candidates, who secured jobs. He claimed that the merit list was not displayed at the district level, but was centralized online.

The YSRCP chief also alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government had made a mockery of the DSC examination by issuing orders stating that candidates under the sports quota need not write the qualifying exam, and that participation certificates were given by TDP MLAs and MPs to secure jobs.

However, the secretary of school education, Kona Sasidhar, rejected these allegations, stating that the recruitment process was conducted transparently, fairly, and in accordance with the notified rules. He also clarified that the examinations were conducted through a trusted Computer-Based Testing platform, and that different question papers were generated for different examination sessions through a randomised question bank system.
