Spanish Davis Cup captain David Ferrer has given an update on the recovery of world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, who withdrew from the ongoing French Open due to a right wrist injury.
Ferrer stated that Alcaraz's recovery is going well, but emphasized the importance of taking things slowly to avoid further injury.
Alcaraz suffered the injury during the Barcelona Open last month and has since withdrawn from several tournaments, including the Madrid and Italian Opens.
Before his injury, Alcaraz had a strong start to the 2026 season, reaching the final of all four majors, including winning the Australian Open and completing a career Grand Slam in men's singles.
