An NBA Finals Game 1 clash between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs was briefly interrupted after a fan suddenly ran onto the court to film Victor Wembanyama during live play.

The moment went viral online as social media users posted a video of the incident, which unfolded midway through the fourth quarter at Frost Bank Center with 6:32 remaining in the game.

The Knicks had just taken a 92-86 lead in what had been a tightly contested NBA Finals opener. The fan entered the floor from the side opposite the team benches and appeared to run toward Spurs star Victor Wembanyama while holding up a phone, seemingly trying to capture a video or a selfie.

Security guards immediately rushed onto the court and escorted the individual away before any contact was made with players.

The interruption halted play for roughly a minute as referees and arena staff restored order.

The Knicks maintained control late in the game and secured a 105-95 victory to take a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals.
