Alleged Minneapolis ICE Shooting Victim Identified: 'One of the Kindest People I've Ever Known'
Renee Nicole Good was identified as the woman fatally shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis on Wednesday
A 37-year-old woman, identified by her mother as Renee Nicole Good, was fatally shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis on Wednesday. According to Donna Ganger, Good's mother, she was a compassionate and loving person who had always taken care of others. Ganger described her daughter as 'one of the kindest people I've ever known'.
The alleged identity of the victim has been circulating on social media, with several users sharing Good's Instagram profile. The profile describes her as a poet, writer, wife, mom, and musician from Colorado, who was currently living in Minneapolis. However, it is unclear whether this is indeed Good's social media profile.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has condemned the shooting and vowed to seek accountability and justice. 'We do not need any further help from the federal government,' he said, addressing comments from President Donald Trump and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. Walz has activated the state's emergency operation center and issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard for potential deployment.
In response to the incident, Trump described the video as 'a horrible thing to watch' and claimed that the woman driving the car was 'very disorderly, obstructing and resisting.' He alleged that she 'violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer,' who he believed acted in self-defense. The State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is leading the investigation into the incident.
