Guyana's bold initiative to revolutionize education has taken shape with the launch of the Guyana Digital School. This cutting-edge online platform aims to bridge the educational gap in the country's Amazonian regions and the wider Caribbean. With over 30,000 students already enrolled, the school offers high school courses and plans to expand its curriculum next year. The brainchild of Guyanese President Irfaan Ali, the digital school provides free access to students from neighboring Caribbean nations and even from India. Deputy Chief Education Officer Ritesh Tularam emphasizes that this innovative program will deliver high-quality education to students across the country, covering a range of subjects. "The future of education, economy, and work will be digital," Tularam said, highlighting the importance of investing in digitization. "We're not following global trends blindly; we're investing because this is where global opportunity is being created.
