Television actor Falaq Naaz has expressed her anger over a new trend in the casting process where actors are being rejected or selected based on their kundali (birth chart). She revealed that she was recently asked to submit her kundali to determine whether she would be the right choice for a role.
Falaq Naaz, who has been working in the industry for 14-15 years, said that this trend is one of the reasons why many talented actors are currently without work. She further explained that earlier actors were given work based on their talent and acting skills, then based on their social media following, and now based on their kundali.
Falaq also claimed that there is a well-known producer who casts actors based on their kundali, and she said she has never worked with that person. She expressed her frustration and said that she does not want to be a part of this nonsense and that it's not acceptable.
She also revealed that although she did eventually share her details, she felt extremely uneasy about the process and had anxiety all day. Falaq Naaz began her acting career in 2010 and rose to wider fame in 2013 with shows such as Sasural Simar Ka and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
