The Delhi High Court has granted an interim injunction to protect the assets of late Sunjay Kapur, allowing the plea filed by his children from his previous marriage with Karisma Kapoor.
The court has directed the filing of account statements and restrained the operation of foreign bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings.
The order comes after the children alleged that Sunjay's widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur, forged his will, sparking a legal battle over the estate.
The court has ruled that the onus lies on Priya Kapur to dispel doubts raised by the petitioners, and the assets must be protected until the trial is completed.
The dispute has been ongoing since August last year, when Priya presented a document claiming it was Sunjay's will, which was challenged by the children.
